Hydro jetting in Calgary

Hydro jetting (high-pressure water jetting) is our most thorough clean. It strips grease and scale off the pipe walls instead of just punching a hole through them.

What’s going on

Grease, soap scum and sludge narrow the pipe over the years, even when nothing is fully blocked. An auger (drain snake) opens a path through it. Jetting scours it off the walls.

How we fix it

A high-pressure water jet clears blockages and scours grease and scale off the pipe walls, then flushes it out. It’s our most thorough clean, and on 3-inch and larger lines it leaves the best results.

Jetting cleans the pipe. It doesn’t repair cracks, offsets or sags. If we see those on camera, we’ll show you. We clean, cut roots and inspect. We don’t dig up (excavate), line or replace sewer pipe. If repairs come up, we show you the defect on camera, and you get repair quotes from a contractor who does that work.

Will you try to sell me descaling or jetting?

Clearing the clog is the job you booked, and we remove light build-up while we're in there. If there's heavy build-up on the pipe walls, we'll show you and recommend descaling. That's $180 if we add it while we're already there, or jetting from $300 for kitchen lines and $450 for main lines. It's your call. If the drain is flowing, "not today" is a fine answer.

Does jetting fix a cracked pipe?

No. Jetting cleans the pipe. It doesn’t repair cracks, offsets or sags. If we see those on camera, we show you the defect, and you get repair quotes elsewhere.
