Terms of Service
Last updated:
These terms apply when you book or receive a service from SureSight Drain Diagnostics Corp., trading as SureSight Drain Diagnostics (“SureSight”, “we”, “us”). Questions? Call or text (403) 918-0257 or email [email protected].
Pricing
- Our services are flat rates, as published on our website. All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD), plus tax.
- Your flat price covers clearing the clog and on-site time of up to 2 hours for sink, tub, shower, toilet and laundry drains, and up to 3 hours for main sewer lines and jetting.
- If a job needs more time than that, extra time is $150/hr during regular hours, or $200/hr after hours (11pm–6am).
- After-hours visits (11pm–6am) add $100 to the service price.
- Where a price is shown as “from”, the exact price is confirmed with you before we start.
No surprises
We confirm any extra time or extra work with you before it starts. You are never charged for time or work you didn’t agree to.
Booking
Bookings made online are handled by our scheduling provider, ServiceM8. An online booking is a request, not a confirmed appointment. We call or text you within 1 hour (6am–11pm) to confirm a time and the price. If water is backing up right now, don’t wait for a reply: call or text (403) 918-0257.
What our services do and don’t cover
- Drain cleaning and jetting restore flow. They do not repair cracks, offsets, sags or other structural defects in a pipe. If we see those on camera, we’ll show you.
- We do not do excavation or structural sewer repair.
- A camera inspection is a visual assessment of the parts of the line the camera can reach. Distances, depths and percentages in our reports are estimates.
- Fixture lines (such as kitchen and bathroom sinks) may not be passable by camera, depending on the trap and fittings. Toilet lines can only be cameraed with the toilet removed.
Warranty and call-backs
- Toilet installation: a new toilet supplied and installed by us includes a one-year warranty on the installation.
- Clearing work: if a drain we cleared clogs again within 30 days, we’ll come back and clear it at no charge. For main sewer lines, that applies when the camera showed no roots or damage. If it did, we’ll have shown you the problem and your options. It doesn’t cover new blockages from wipes, grease or objects put down the drain.
Payment
We take debit, credit card and Interac e-Transfer once the job is done.
Cancellations and missed appointments
We don’t charge a fee for cancelling or rescheduling. Please let us know as early as you can so we can offer the time to someone else.
Access and safety
- Someone needs to let us in and be reachable while we work, whether that’s you, a family member or a tenant. Please give us reasonable access to the drains, cleanouts and work area.
- We may decline or stop work that we consider unsafe, and we’ll explain why.
Limitation of liability
We do our work carefully and stand behind it as described above. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for pre-existing conditions in your pipes or property, for damage caused by structural defects we did not create, or for indirect losses such as lost income or inconvenience. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under Alberta consumer protection law that can’t be limited by agreement.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we’ll post the new version here and update the date at the top. The terms in place when you booked apply to that job.
